Laphroaig – 15 Year Old (70cl)

Laphroaig 15 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from Islay, in a 70cl bottle. It began as a core expression, was later discontinued, and has since returned in special releases. Long maturation in ex-bourbon barrels softens the distillery's medicinal peat smoke, leaving room for oak sweetness, coastal brine and tropical fruit. The nose pairs soft peat smoke and sweet tobacco with sea spray, citrus peel, vanilla cream and a little charred oak. On the palate there is medicinal peat, burning heather and salty brine, set against honey, ripe mango, toasted nuts and warming spices. The finish is long and warming, with peat smoke, vanilla and dry saltiness.
