Laphroaig 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt that has returned to the core range. It was first released in 1985, and was issued as an anniversary bottling in 2015 before coming back as a permanent expression.
It matured for fifteen years in ex-bourbon casks of American white oak and is bottled at 46%, in natural colour and without chill-filtration.
It is smoky, maritime and robust, with crushed black pepper, warming spices and a fine fruity sweetness.
