This is a Laphroaig single malt from the Quarter Cask Series, numbered #2227. It was bottled on 1 April 2025 at 43.4% ABV, and the cask yielded 123 bottles.
The quarter cask is a smaller format than the usual barrel, so the spirit spends more of its time in contact with the wood. That extra contact is said to bring out the peaty character of the whisky more strongly, and this is a small-cask Islay malt with a big peat profile.
