A 25 year old Islay single malt from Laphroaig, distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2019 at 43% ABV. It was matured in refill American oak hogshead and refill barrels, and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is peaty, with spicy and floral notes, sweeter tones of pear candy and green apple, and malt in the background.
On the palate there is salty petroleum, sweet spices and herbs, acacia honey, tomato leaf and black pepper, with a peaty sweetness and an earthy character the notes link to Islay.
