This is a limited edition Laphroaig, 27 years old and bottled in March 2017 at a cask strength of 41.7% ABV.
The whisky was distilled between October 1988 and November 1989 and aged in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and refill Quarter Casks.
Laphroaig is an Islay distillery that was bottling its spirit as a single malt as early as the 1920s. It still uses its own maltings, which supply 20% of its annual requirements.
