Laphroaig 30 Year Old 2024 Release is an Islay single malt aged for three decades in American oak barrels and European oak sherry casks. It is bottled at 45.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle and is the first release in Laphroaig's annual 30-year-old collection.
The distillery's peat smoke is joined by citrus zest, vanilla custard, toffee and delicate herbal spice.
The nose has orange and lemon peel with creamy vanilla, toffee and subtle coastal smoke. The palate is layered, with bergamot, sweet pastries, vanilla cream, fresh thyme and white pepper, balanced by oak and soft peat. The finish is long, with campfire embers, citrus, warming spice and gentle maritime smoke.
