Laphroaig – Cairdeas French Oak 2026 (70cl)

Laphroaig Cairdeas French Oak 2026 is the 18th annual limited release in the Friends of Laphroaig series, launched for the Fèis Ìle (Islay Festival) in 2026, in a 70cl bottle. It is the distillery's first whisky matured entirely in French oak casks. The oak adds structure, tannic grip and a savoury, dark fruit character to Laphroaig's coastal salinity, medicinal edge and intense peat smoke. The nose is smoky, with fresh wood shavings, peat fires, polished leather, honeydew melon and stone fruit over a briny sea note. The palate brings campfire smoke, vanilla, black liquorice, dark chocolate, star anise, coffee and tart cherry. The finish is long and warming, with smoked ham, sea salt and coastal peat smoke.
