Laphroaig Elements L 2.0 is a limited, cask-strength release from Islay, bottled in 2024 at 59.6% ABV. It belongs to the Elements 2.0 series and is neither chill-filtered nor coloured.
Fermentation ran for up to 115 hours, which is credited with bringing out fruity aromas alongside the gentle peat smoke.
The nose combines peat smoke, green apple and warm ginger. Smoke leads on the palate, softened by runny honey and vanilla custard, and the finish carries on with smoke and a hint of red berries.
