Laphroaig – Four Oak (1L, 40%)

Laphroaig Four Oak is an Islay single malt that combines whiskies from four types of cask: ex-bourbon barrels, quarter casks in the style of the 19th century, European oak hogsheads and casks of new American oak. It is bottled at 40% in a 1 litre bottle, chill-filtered and without added colour. The new American oak adds sweet vanilla to the medicinal peat smoke and seaweed of the distillery's style. The nose brings strong peat smoke, stewed fruit and warm toasted vanilla. On the palate peat smoke and smouldering oak mix with seaweed, pine and soft buttercream. The finish keeps the smoke, with a note of salty liquorice.
