Laphroaig Lore is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, made as a rich, peated expression of the distillery's whisky. It is a blend of spirits from five cask types, including ex-bourbon barrels, quarter casks in a nineteenth-century style and large Oloroso sherry butts. The whiskies in it range in age from seven to 21 years.
Sparkling gold in colour, it is described as smoky, with hints of ash, bitter chocolate and ocean air. The finish is long and sweet, with a spicy tingle of chilli.
