Laphroaig Oak Select is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It was formerly sold as Laphroaig Select and keeps the peaty character of the earlier name.
The whisky is made from a selection of casks: Oloroso sherry, American white oak, Pedro Ximénez, quarter casks and first-fill bourbon. Together they give a balance of smoke, spice and sweetness.
It is typically described as bold and peaty, followed by honey, vanilla and oak, with a long, warming finish.
