Laphroaig Quarter Cask is an Islay single malt bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is first matured in ex-bourbon barrels, then moved into smaller quarter casks, which give the whisky more contact with the oak.
The nose is peat smoke and sea spray with a hint of sweetness. On the palate come smoky malt, vanilla, toasted coconut and warming spice over a creamy texture. The finish is long, with smoke, oak and a touch of brine.
