Laphroaig – Quarter Cask

This is Laphroaig Quarter Cask, a single malt from the Laphroaig distillery on the south coast of Islay. Laphroaig is the first of the three Kildalton distilleries and one of the heavily peated southern Islay malts. The whisky is matured in quarter casks, which speeds up its maturation and gives a young, lively Laphroaig. It is first soft and sweet, with a velvety feel, before the intense peat that Laphroaig is known for comes through.
