Laphroaig The Cask Lore is an Islay single malt from the distillery on the island's south coast, which has been distilling since 1815. It brings together whiskies aged between 7 and 21 years.
The whisky matured in a mix of ex-bourbon barrels, European oloroso sherry butts and Laphroaig's smaller quarter casks. It is bottled at 48% without chill-filtering and comes in a white box.
The pairing of sherry and quarter casks is described as bringing together peat smoke, sea salt and sweetness, with an oily texture.
