This is a 10 year old Ledaig from Douglas Laing's Provenance range, taken from a single refill hogshead, number DL14016. It was distilled in April 2009 and bottled in March 2020 at 46.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 411 bottles filled. Ledaig is the peated malt made on the Isle of Mull, and it shares plenty of character with its Islay cousins. The nose is described as distinctly maritime, with smoked meat and new leather. The palate is fulsome, with fried pancetta, sweet peat and smoked barley. The finish is medium to long, with seaweed, dark chocolate, ginger, rock salt and blueberries.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
