Ledaig 10 Year Old (70cl, 46.3%)

A heavily peated 10-year-old single malt from Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull, first introduced in 2007. It is bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle. The character is boisterous, with wet, earthy peat and coastal saltiness balanced by toffee sweetness. Rubber, sweet and peppery spices and barbecued meat often appear as well. The colour is bright lemony gold. The nose is sweet and briny with soft peat, antiseptic, creosote, wax polish and mint chocolate. The palate is sweet and medicinal with pepper, dried fruit and vanilla, and the finish brings white pepper, liquorice, cloves and lingering salt.
