A 9 year old peated single malt from Ledaig, matured fully in Bordeaux red wine casks and bottled at a cask strength of 56.8% ABV. It is a small batch, limited edition release, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, with a bronze hue.
The nose combines smoked fudge, eucalyptus oil and carbolic soap. On the palate are burning heather and pine cones, grape skins, melon and wood-smoked meats. The finish fades from smoke into floral notes and, finally, lime pastilles.
