Leiper's Fork 5 Year Old Bottled in Bond Tennessee Whiskey (2023) (70cl, 50%)

A five year old Tennessee whiskey from Leiper's Fork Distillery in Williamson County, bottled in bond at 100 proof, or 50% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in new American oak and is non-chill filtered. The mash bill is 70% corn, 15% rye and 15% malted barley, with toasted barley malt included. The whiskey is pot distilled and charcoal filtered through sugar maple. The grain is local and non-GMO, and the corn is grown on the chief distiller's farm. The nose brings milk chocolate, roasted coffee, ripe plum, dark cherry and honey. On the palate there are caramel, red berries and baking spices, and the complexity is said to build as it rests in the glass.
