Limeburners Port Cask Strength Single Malt (Barrel M511) (70cl, 61%)

This is a cask strength single malt from Limeburners, made and hand bottled at the Great Southern Distillery in Albany, Western Australia. It is bottled at 61% ABV in a 70cl bottle, straight from the barrel, without chill filtration or added caramel colouring. The whisky is distilled in copper pot stills from local barley. Barrel M511 was matured in an Australian ex-Port cask and then finished in a very old, small Australian ex-Port cask. The nose shows spice and fruit, and with a splash of water it opens to malted barley, port, vanilla, honey, raisins and caramel. The palate is full and intense, and the finish is smooth.
