Linkwood – 10 Year Old Oloroso Cadenhead's (70cl, 46%)

This is a 10 year old Linkwood bottled by Cadenhead's at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Linkwood stands just outside Elgin and has been making whisky since 1824. After its first years of maturation, the whisky was moved into Oloroso sherry casks in 2022 and left there until it was judged ready for bottling. Cadenhead's bottles without chill-filtration or added colour. The nose brings blackcurrant, raspberry, date syrup and buttered gingerbread. The palate has Madagascan cola, Danish pastry and blackcurrant jam, and the finish turns to figs, apricots, marzipan and almonds.
