This is a 12 year old Linkwood single malt from the Flora & Fauna series, the 1991 edition, matured in a sherry cask and bottled at 43% ABV. Linkwood stands on the River Lossie close to Elgin in Speyside and was established in 1821.
The nose combines vanilla and fresh fruit with cigar boxes, carnations, lavender, dried orange peel and green sticks. The palate is sweet and viscous, with nutty cereal notes, soft orchard fruit, citrus and cedar wood, which linger into the finish.
