Linkwood – 2007 16 Year Old Lindowie, The Whisky Cask Company (70cl, 54.6%)

A 16 year old single cask Linkwood from Speyside, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2023 for The Whisky Cask Company. The cask gave 281 bottles, each a 70cl bottle at 54.6%, undiluted, uncoloured and unfiltered. The first 13 years were spent in a Bourbon cask, followed by three more in a first fill PX sherry cask. The nose offers tropical fruit, vanilla, bitter orange, old oak and spice. On the palate come essential oils, dark chocolate and tannins, and the finish is aromatic and lightly dry.
