This is a 27 year old Speyside single malt from Linkwood, distilled in 1974 and bottled in 2001 at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a single cask release from the First Cask range, a collection of simply labelled independent bottlings produced by Direct Wines, with the casks provided by Signatory Vintage.
Linkwood has long been a key component in popular blends such as Johnnie Walker and White Horse. Bottlings under the distillery's own name are rare, which is why independent releases like this one are more common.
