Linkwood 40 Year Old is a Speyside single malt distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2022 for Gordon & MacPhail's Private Collection. It was drawn from a single first fill sherry butt and bottled at 57.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 573 bottles produced. The Private Collection was personally selected by members of the Urquhart family, who have owned Gordon & MacPhail for four generations. On the nose there is stewed fruit, autumnal spices, mature oak, cocoa powder, toasted hazelnuts and aged leather. The palate brings forest fruits, baked apple, sultana and treacle toffee, and the finish is long, with spice and blackcurrant.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
