This is a 12-year-old Inchmoan from Loch Lomond, a peated single malt bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the smoky malt in the distillery's standard range.
It was distilled in pot stills and in Loch Lomond's straight neck pot still, then matured in bourbon casks, refill casks and rejuvenated oak casks.
Tasting notes describe a dry nose of sweet vanilla, fine spice and plenty of peat smoke. The palate is round, creamy and sweet, with smoked bacon, green apples, pears, cloves and aniseed. The finish is long, with gooseberries, citrus and peat smoke.
