Loch Lomond – 12 Years

Loch Lomond 12 Years is a Highland single malt with a deep fruit character, led by peach and pear over vanilla sweetness, and the peat and smoke typical of Loch Lomond whiskies. It is matured in three kinds of cask: new bourbon, refill and re-charged. The master distiller, Michael Henry, brings them together at the end of maturation. The nose offers crisp green apple, ripe pear and fresh citrus with a note of harvest-ready grain. The palate is orchard fruit and lemon meringue, with pear giving way to citrus, vanilla meringue and a light sponge sweetness. The finish is of medium length, with gentle wood smoke and a lingering, strongly peaty note.
