Loch Lomond – 14 Years

Loch Lomond 14 Years is a Highland single malt that combines two styles of spirit: one distilled in traditional swan neck pot stills, the other in straight neck pot stills. Together they give a gentle peat character and a deep spiciness. It spent 14 years maturing in American oak and refill bourbon casks, which add sweet vanilla to the light peat. The nose offers orange, grapefruit and a touch of sandalwood. On the palate, sweet medicinal peat and smoked bacon meet roasted coffee beans, vanilla, clove and star anise, with a warming spiciness alongside fruit. The finish is cinnamon and clove, softened by juicy apricot.
