This is a 15 year old Highland single malt from Loch Lomond, distilled in 2006 and part of the Master Cask Collection made for the Chinese market. It comes from a single first-fill Oloroso butt, with 642 bottles drawn at 55.5% ABV.
The nose has sweet peat smoke, sticky dates and cinnamon-baked red apple. The palate offers golden syrup, raisins and grape juice, followed by maple syrup and ground ginger. The finish is dry and lingering, with lime, cumin and ginger.
