This is an 8 year old Highland single malt from Loch Lomond, matured in American oak whisky casks and finished in previously used Madeira wine casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 1 litre bottle.
The nose is described as orange, nutmeg and almond marzipan. On the palate come peach, nutmeg and pear with marzipan, figs and walnut, followed by a long oak finish.
Whisky from Loch Lomond is also the favourite of Captain Haddock in the Tintin comic strip.
