Loch Lomond – Inchmurrin Madeira Wood Finish (70cl, 46%)

Inchmurrin Madeira Wood Finish is a single malt from Loch Lomond, one of three Inchmurrin whiskies in the distillery's Island Collection. The name comes from the largest island on the loch. The whisky is matured first in American oak whisky barrels, then the casks are married and given further time in casks that previously held Madeira wine. It is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The Madeira finish brings out orchard fruit, peach and pear, with marzipan and nutmeg alongside. A dry nuttiness runs into a long, oak finish.
