Loch Lomond – Single Grain Cooper's Collection Spanish Oak Cask Finish (50%)

This is the second release in Loch Lomond's Cooper's Collection, a series of limited single grain whiskies given rare cask finishes. It was distilled from 100% malted barley in the distillery's continuous Coffey still. The whisky first matured in first-fill American oak casks, then received a finish in handcrafted Spanish oak casks chosen by the distillery's coopers. Michael Henry bottled it at 50%, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, in 9,000 bottles. The colour is natural amber. The nose combines floral notes, ripe berries and toasted oak. The palate is spicy and sweet, with creamy vanilla, honey and cloves. The finish is dry, with warming oak.
