Loch Lomond – Single Grain Distiller's Choice (48.8%)

Loch Lomond Single Grain Distiller's Choice is made entirely from malted barley. Because it is distilled in a Coffey still, it is classed as a single grain whisky. It matured in a selection of first and second fill bourbon casks made from American oak, and was bottled at 48.8% ABV. Fruit and floral notes run through it. The nose brings soft peaches and creamy coconut, alongside rich chocolate and dark, sweet blackcurrant. The palate is velvety, with red berries, shortbread-like caramel, vanilla and cinnamon. The finish is long and delicately sweet.
