Loch Lomond – Steam & Fire (46%)

Loch Lomond Steam & Fire is a Highland single malt bottled at 46% ABV. Master blender Michael Henry made it using both the swan-neck stills and the straight-neck stills used at Loch Lomond. The whisky matured first in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and American oak casks. It then spent ten months in heavily toasted first-fill American oak. The nose is very sweet, with honey, toffee, orange liqueur, a little jam and some smoke. The palate is sweet and creamy, with muscovado sugar and marmalade. The finish brings dark chocolate and fudge, followed by lingering wood smoke.
