This is a Lochside 17 year old Highland single malt, distilled in 1965 and bottled in the early 1980s by Elgin independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail for its Connoisseurs Choice range. It comes in a 75cl bottle at 70 proof.
The 1965 vintage is regarded as an outstanding one for Lochside. The whisky is described as fruity and intense in an old-school way, with wax, oils and small touches of chocolate and spice. Old 1960s Lochsides are often compared to Springbank.
