This is a Highland single malt from the closed Lochside Distillery, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for its Connoisseurs Choice series. It was distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2008 at 43% ABV. The whisky matured in refill bourbon barrels, which let the spirit come through and give a lighter, fruit-forward profile with subtle oak influence. Lochside is counted among Scotland's silent distilleries.
