This is a 13 year old Longrow from Campbeltown, bottled by the Scottish Malt Whisky Society as cask 114.3. It is a single malt at 54.5% ABV in a 50cl bottle.
The bottling was made to celebrate the opening of the Society's new venue on Queen Street in Edinburgh.
The colour is straw. The nose is pure and fresh, with sharp, clean peat and fresh fruit such as melon and peach. On the palate fresh fruit meets pepper and smoke, with hints of chilli, leading to a long, peppery finish.
