A 16 year old Campbeltown single malt from Longrow, distilled in 1974 and matured entirely in sherry casks. It is an official bottling at 46%, in a 75cl bottle.
Light amber in colour, it opens with camphor, menthol, camomile tea and straw, moving on to guava, mango, fir tree and honey, with peat smoke running underneath and a hint of white pepper.
The palate brings dried herbal teas and crystallised pineapple and mango, then peat, angelica and cold tea, turning spicy with clove, cinnamon, crystallised ginger and liquorice. The finish is very long, on tea.
