The Bridge Blackrock Cellar No.1 is a collaboration between Blackrock Cellar, Lough Ree Distillery and Wide Street Brewery. The whisky is a 5 year old triple distilled single malt from Great Northern Distillery.
It was finished for two months in an Altbier cask, an ex-Bourbon cask that was recharred before being filled with Wide Street Brewery's Altbier.
The nose offers caramel, malt and Turkish Delight with roses, and a drop of water brings out cantaloupe melon. On the palate are Rich Tea biscuits, vanilla, melon, buttery toast and light oak spice. The finish is long, with melon, Turkish Delight chocolate and light spice.
