Macallan 15 Year Old Double Cask is a single malt matured in both American and European oak, with the casks seasoned with dry oloroso sherry. It comes in a 70cl bottle. American oak contributes vanilla, citrus and butterscotch, while European oak adds the spice associated with Macallan.
The colour is golden butterscotch. The nose has dried fruit, butterscotch and baked apple, with chocolate and smooth oak. On the palate, sweet raisin and sultana build with cinnamon, nutmeg and creamy vanilla. The finish is medium, with lingering oak and spice.
