Macallan 18 Year Old Double Cask 2022 is an 18 year old Speyside single malt, in a 70cl bottle, with an amber honey colour.
It matured in both American and European oak casks, seasoned with dry oloroso sherry. The American oak brings vanilla, citrus and butterscotch, while the European oak adds spice.
The nose has dried fruit, ginger and toffee, with rich orange, clove and nutmeg. The palate has raisin and sultana with caramel, vanilla and ginger, balanced by wood spice and zesty citrus. The finish is warm oak spice with ginger, turning to sweet orange.
