An 18 year old single malt from Macallan's Sherry Oak range, which is matured in hand-picked, sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez. This is the 2023 release, with a light mahogany colour.
The nose is treacle tart with stem ginger, soaked raisins and sultanas, a hint of orange and ground cinnamon. The palate is soft and rich, with dark chocolate-coated ginger, dates and dried apricots, balanced by oak and vanilla sweetness. The finish is lingering, with dried fruits, ginger and oak.
