A 35 year old Macallan from Speyside, bottled by Blind Summit at 45.3% after a finish in a Rivesaltes fortified wine cask. Only 30 bottles were released.
The nose brings preserved marmalade, honey and dried apricot with a gentle thread of sweet spice. On the palate come candied orange peel and warm baking spices over a waxy base that builds slowly.
The finish is long, with sweet spice, toasted oak and dried orange peel.
