A single malt Scotch whisky from The Macallan in Speyside, bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It is matured in sherry-seasoned American oak, sherry-seasoned European oak and ex-bourbon American oak casks. The bourbon casks are an unusual addition for a distillery that built its reputation on sherry-seasoned wood.
The nose has creamy vanilla, honeyed cereal, pear and peach. The palate shows caramelised sugar, vanilla fudge, dried fig and raisin, and the finish is soft and warming, with toffee, toasted marshmallow and gentle oak.
