Macallan Art is The Flower is a limited-edition Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 50.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It pays tribute to the Scottish artist and architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh, taking its inspiration from his 1902 stained-glass panel The Spirit of the Rose.
The whisky-making team selected sherry-seasoned European oak casks from across Macallan's inventory, and the whisky carries no age statement.
The nose offers dark raisins, sticky figs and polished oak, with cherry, toasted almonds, candied orange peel and treacle behind. Sweet oak and vanilla open the palate, with ginger, baked apple, a note of tea leaf and chocolate. The finish is long and sweet, with dried fruit and oak.
