The Macallan Boutique Collection 2017 Release is the second instalment in the Boutique Collection series. It was bottled in 2017 at a cask strength of 56.8% and is a blend of whisky from European and American oak casks that were seasoned with sherry. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The palate is viscous and coating, opening with candied fruits, orange oil and sweet toffee. Clove, ginger and black pepper follow in the middle, and the finish is long and dry, with seasoned wood tannins and dried dates.
