Macallan – Harmony Collection 6 Inspired By Fresh Coconut (70cl, 46.3%)

This is the sixth and final release in The Macallan Harmony Collection, a single malt bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle. It takes its inspiration from coconut, a flavour rarely found in the Macallan profile. The coconut character comes from sherry-seasoned American oak casks, where natural oak lactones add coconut aromas and flavours, and bourbon cask maturation completes the whisky. The presentation box is made with discarded coconut fibres. The nose opens with fresh coconut and lime, then lemon, orange, mango and papaya over vanilla, almond and spice. The palate offers vanilla sponge, desiccated coconut and coconut milk. The finish is soft and fragrant, with coconut and floral honey.
