Macallan – Harmony Smooth Arabica

Macallan Harmony Smooth Arabica is a Speyside single malt in the Harmony Collection, which began with Rich Cacao. This edition takes its inspiration from Ethiopian arabica coffee. Steven Bremner paired the whisky with two Ethiopian coffees, Yirgacheffe and Limu, chosen for fine flavours that complement the whisky when the two are enjoyed side by side. The nose is complex, with ground coffee, hazelnuts, raisins, dark cherries, vanilla and oak. The palate opens with café Americano, then overripe cherries and raisins, nutty and vanilla notes and a touch of oak. The finish is long, balanced, creamy and sweet, with freshly ground, dark-roasted coffee beans.
