This is the 2022 release of Macallan Rare Cask, a single malt without an age statement, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky rests in sherry casks before it becomes Rare Cask. It is described as complex, full-bodied, dark and almost creamy with chocolate, and the colour is mahogany.
The nose brings citrus, vanilla, raisins, orange and fresh apple. The palate is intense, with sweet raisins, vanilla, dark chocolate and lemon peel. The finish is long and rich.
