Mackmyra AI-02 Intelligens is a Swedish single malt at 46.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle, bottled in 2021 without an age statement. It is the second recipe in a series created with the help of artificial intelligence, developed with Microsoft and the Finnish consultancy Fourkind and guided by master blender Angela D'Orazio.
The casks are first-fill ex-bourbon, freshly emptied ex-oloroso, virgin American oak and a small virgin Swedish oak cask carrying a pre-stored smoky recipe.
The nose has green pear, honey, vanilla and butterscotch. On the palate are vanilla fudge with citrus, a little pepper and clear oak. The finish is sweet and fruity with oaky tones and a discreet smoky tail.
