MacNair's 21 Years Lum Reek Blended Peated Malt Scotch Whisky

MacNair's 21 Years is a blended peated malt from the Lum Reek range, a recent creation of Billy Walker. Heavily peated Islay and Speyside malts are married with full-bodied GlenAllachie whisky, then filled into selected casks that mature at the GlenAllachie distillery until the final selection is blended. It is neither coloured nor chill-filtered. The name comes from a Scots Hogmanay toast, "Lang may yer lum reek", meaning long may your chimney smoke. The nose offers elegant peat smoke with dark chocolate and fudge. The palate has tobacco, leather and cedar with waves of peat smoke, alongside cocoa, vanilla, honey and spices. The finish is long and round, with fine spices, peppery warmth and a note of leather.
